Transparent Process

Every step, explained plainly.

We believe knowing exactly what happens — and when — is itself a form of relief. Nothing is hidden, nothing is rushed.

01Initial Contact1–2 hours

Scene Assessment & Scope

A certified project manager arrives in an unmarked vehicle within the estimated window. They conduct a private walkthrough, document affected areas, and present a written scope with no obligation.

PPE worn on-site: N100 respirator, Tyvek suit, nitrile gloves. No photos taken without consent.
02Containment2–4 hours

Barrier Setup & Area Isolation

Affected rooms are isolated using 6-mil polyethylene sheeting and negative air pressure machines to prevent cross-contamination. HVAC is temporarily sealed.

Negative air pressure maintained at −0.02 to −0.05 inches WC throughout the process.
03Decontamination4–12 hours

Bio-Decontamination & Material Removal

EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectants are applied using electrostatic sprayers. All porous materials unable to be decontaminated are removed and disposed of per state biohazard regulations.

Solutions used: Sporicidin, Benefect Decon 30, SteriBan. All OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen compliant.
04Air Treatment4–8 hours

HEPA Filtration & Odor Neutralization

Industrial HEPA air scrubbers run continuous cycles while hydroxyl generators neutralize odor molecules at the molecular level — not masking, eliminating.

Air exchanges: minimum 12 per hour. HEPA filtration to 0.3 microns at 99.97% efficiency.
05Verification2–4 hours

Third-Party Air Quality Testing

An independent industrial hygienist — not affiliated with Restore — tests surfaces and air quality. Results are sent directly to you and your insurance carrier.

Testing covers: ATP surface testing, air particle count, VOC levels, and pathogen-specific cultures where applicable.
06ClearanceSame day

Certified Clearance Document

Upon passing third-party verification, you receive a signed Clearance Certificate acceptable to all major insurance carriers and property management companies.

Document includes: technician names and certifications, solutions used, test results, and a chain-of-custody log.

Common Questions

Answers before you need to ask.

In the majority of cases, yes. Homeowner's insurance, renter's insurance, and property management policies typically cover biohazard remediation under the "sudden and accidental" clause. We work directly with your adjuster and provide all required documentation — including our certified clearance document — to support your claim. We can also submit directly on your behalf.

Our average response time is under 2 hours in metro areas. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including holidays. When you contact us, we dispatch the nearest available certified crew immediately.

We arrive in unmarked vehicles. Technicians wear plain PPE without company branding visible from the street. We do not communicate with building management, neighbors, or any third parties without your explicit written consent. All records are handled under strict privacy protocols.

No. Many clients prefer not to be on-site, and we fully support that choice. We coordinate via your preferred contact method, provide progress updates, and secure the property when complete. A trusted representative can be designated if you prefer someone present.

Any item that cannot be fully decontaminated is documented with photographs before removal and listed in the chain-of-custody log. Items with sentimental value that can be safely restored are treated and returned. You review and approve the disposition plan before any removal occurs.

Yes. We have established relationships with property management companies and can bill directly, coordinate tenant communications if appropriate, and provide the certified clearance documentation required before a unit can be re-listed or re-occupied. We also provide letters suitable for health department notification requirements.
